Data Collection Disclosure: We collect email addresses and interaction data to create user profiles.
Purpose and Legal Basis: Profiles are created to enhance your experience, track your progress, and customize your GOCRATIQ content. Data sharing is strictly limited to cases where you have given explicit consent.
Use for AI Training: GOCRATIQ's tutor is an AI system, and we train and refine it using the interaction data generated when students and instructors use the product — the questions, answers, and messages written during a tutoring session. This is described in full below.
User Rights: Your rights are governed by your local, state, and federal laws, and we work to ensure full compliance. You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and you can exercise these rights by going to your profile. You may withdraw consent at any time.
Third-Party Sharing: No personal information is shared with third parties without your prior consent. We may provide third-party course material, and if you consent, your interaction with that content may be shared on your behalf.
Contact Information: You may contact us regarding your privacy rights or data requests, as required by the CAN-SPAM Act and GDPR. Please use the email privacy@gocratiq.com.
Your privacy is important to us. The following details are intended to help you understand how we use and safeguard the information you provide. In keeping with our commitment to privacy, here are the details about the information we collect when you or your child visits this site. We strive to maintain compliance with the CAN-SPAM Act, GDPR, COPPA, and FERPA.
GOCRATIQ pledges to safeguard student privacy. Student or child data is only retained for educational purposes.
GOCRATIQ data is stored on secure commercial servers contracted and managed by our service providers. These geographically dispersed datacenters are mandated to comply with key industry standards, such as ISO/IEC 27001:2013 and NIST SP 800-53, for security and reliability. The datacenters are managed, monitored, and administered by the service provider, and staff have no access to the personal data stored in GOCRATIQ.
Our website is scanned on a regular basis for security holes and known vulnerabilities in order to make your visit to our site as safe as possible.
Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems and who are required to keep the information confidential. Payment and card details are never collected or stored by GOCRATIQ directly — all financial transactions are processed by a PCI-compliant third-party payment processor.
We implement a variety of security measures to protect your personal information whenever you enter, submit, or access it on our site.
GOCRATIQ accounts are created by parents and educational leaders. Children under the age of 13 do not create their own accounts — an account for a child under 13 is created by a parent, guardian, or educational institution on the child's behalf, and GOCRATIQ does not knowingly collect personally identifying information from a child under 13 without the verifiable consent of a parent or educational institution. GOCRATIQ may collect and store question answers provided by users of accounts created by parents and educational institutions for the purpose of providing feedback to the user and educational institution and for compiling reports and awards. GOCRATIQ may also collect and store an email address provided by users of accounts created by parents and educational institutions for the purpose of password reset. GOCRATIQ will not ask children under age 13 for more information, as a condition of participation, than is reasonably necessary to participate in a given activity. If any information is disclosed to GOCRATIQ by a child under the age of 13, that child's parent may contact GOCRATIQ using the contact information below to ascertain the information collected and/or to request its deletion.
When it comes to the collection of personal information from children under the age of 13, the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) puts parents and instructors in control. The Federal Trade Commission, the United States' consumer protection agency, enforces the COPPA Rule, which spells out what operators of websites and online services must do to protect children's privacy and safety online.
Do we let third parties, including ad networks or plug-ins, collect personal information from children under 13?
No.
To remove your child's information, please contact us:

We adhere to the following COPPA principles:
Information we collect from children
During our registration process, we ask the child to provide certain information to facilitate security, account validation, and notification purposes. The information we request includes:
The above information is used to create the initial request for an account. Following account validation through consent from a parent or guardian, the account can include additional details:
About the collection of the parent email address: Per COPPA's requirements for sites targeting audiences of children 12 years or younger, we request the parent or guardian's email address prior to any collection of personal information from the child.
About Verifiable Parental Consent: We seek parent or guardian consent by email. Our verifiable parental consent email contains:
In school-based activities, and in accordance with COPPA guidelines, school administrators and teachers are allowed to act in place of parents or guardians to provide consent to the collection of personal information. Visit the U.S. Department of Education's FERPA website for more details.
Parental Controls
At any time, parents can refuse to permit us to collect further personal information from their children in association with a particular account, and can request that we delete from our records the personal information we have collected in connection with that account. Please keep in mind that a request to delete records may lead to termination of an account, membership, or other service.
Parents or guardians can contact GOCRATIQ at privacy@gocratiq.com at any time to request, change, or delete their child's personal information.
When ordering or registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your name, email address, or other details to help us tailor your experience. Payment details are collected and processed directly by our third-party payment processor — GOCRATIQ does not receive or store your card information.
We collect information from you when you register on our site, place an order, subscribe to a newsletter, fill out a form, or enter information on our site.
We may use the information we collect from you when you register, make a purchase, sign up for our newsletter, respond to a survey or marketing communication, browse the website, or use certain other site features, in the following ways:
The GOCRATIQ tutor is an AI system, and it is improved using data generated during use of the product. This includes interaction data — the questions, answers, and messages that students and instructors write during a tutoring session — which is used to train and refine the models behind the tutor.
We do not sell this data or trade it for commercial purposes. Where we use third-party infrastructure providers, such as cloud hosting or AI processing services, those providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
If you have a question about this use of your data, or wish to discuss it, contact us at privacy@gocratiq.com.

CalOPPA is the first state law in the nation to require commercial websites and online services to post a privacy policy. Its reach extends well beyond California, requiring any person or company in the United States that operates a website collecting personally identifiable information from California consumers to post a conspicuous privacy policy on its website stating exactly what information is being collected and who it is shared with. See more at: http://consumercal.org/california-online-privacy-protection-act-caloppa/
According to CalOPPA, we agree to the following:
We honor Do Not Track (DNT) signals: we do not track you, plant additional cookies, or serve targeted advertising when your browser has a Do Not Track mechanism enabled.
The Fair Information Practice Principles form the backbone of privacy law in the United States, and the concepts they include have played a significant role in the development of data protection laws around the globe. Understanding the Fair Information Practice Principles, and how they should be implemented, is critical to complying with the various privacy laws that protect personal information.
In order to remain in line with Fair Information Practices, should a data breach occur, we will take the following responsive action:
We also agree to the Individual Redress Principle, which requires that individuals have the right to legally pursue enforceable rights against data collectors and processors who fail to adhere to the law. This principle requires not only that individuals have enforceable rights against data users, but also that they have recourse to courts or government agencies to investigate and/or prosecute non-compliance by data processors.
Cookies are small data files stored on the hard drive of your computer or mobile device by a website. Cookies we use
We use the following types of cookies for the purposes set out below:
Essential Cookies. These cookies are essential to provide you with our services and to enable you to use some of their features. Without these cookies, the services cannot be provided, and we only use these cookies to provide you with the services.
Functionality Cookies. These cookies allow our website to remember choices you make when you use it. Their purpose is to give you a more personal experience and to avoid you having to re-enter your preferences every time you visit our website.
Analytics and Performance Cookies. These cookies are used to collect information about traffic to our website and how users use it. The information gathered does not identify any individual visitor; it is aggregated and anonymous. Our measurement partners (including Google Analytics) use cookies on our services to help us understand how our site is used and to improve it over time.
Advertising & Targeting Cookies. These cookies track your browsing habits to help us show advertising that is more likely to be of interest to you, both on and off our services, and to measure the effectiveness and reach of ads. These cookies use information about the industries you are interested in and your browsing history to group you with other users who have similar interests. Based on that information, and with our permission, third-party advertisers can place cookies to enable them to show advertisements they think will be relevant to your interests while you are on third-party websites. (These cookies do not apply within child accounts — see "How does GOCRATIQ protect children's privacy?" above.)
Social Media Cookies. These cookies are used when you share information using a social media sharing button or "like" button on our website, or when you link your account or engage with our content on or through a social networking website such as Facebook, X (Twitter), or LinkedIn. The social network will record that you have done this.
Disabling Cookies
You can typically remove or reject cookies through your browser settings. To do this, follow the instructions provided by your browser (usually located in its "settings," "help," "tools," or "edit" menu). Many browsers are set to accept cookies until you change your settings.
If you reject cookies, you may still use our services. However, please note that if you disable cookies, some functionality offered by our services may be limited as a result.
We may use pixel tags (also known as web beacons and clear GIFs) on our services to track the actions of users. A pixel tag is a tiny, usually invisible graphic image — typically no larger than 1 pixel by 1 pixel — placed on a website or in an email to monitor user behavior. Pixel tags help us measure how relevant our newsletter content is to our subscribers, measure the success of our marketing campaigns, and compile usage statistics for our services, so that we can manage our content more effectively and provide our readers with more useful content.
